41 tasks you can hand to an AI agent today

You don't have a people problem. You have a handing-off problem. There's a stack of work that belongs on someone's plate, but no one's there to take it. Copy this list, pick five tasks on it that are eating your week, and hand them over.

Start with the ones that never stop

These are the tasks that run on a schedule or run all the time. You set them once, and they keep working whether you're in a meeting, asleep, or offline for a week.

• Publish on a schedule. "Post a tip every Monday at 9am." It drafts and publishes on its own.
• Site uptime watch. It checks your site is up, and if it isn't, it figures out why.
• Security checks. A regular scan that comes back plain English, not error log gibberish.
• Backups. Confirm they ran, and flag anything before it becomes a problem.
• Pending order reminders. "Anything I haven't shipped?" so nothing sits.
• Comment moderation. Approved or trashed, with a digest of what it handled.
• New-lead alerts. It watches forms and tells you the moment someone raised their hand.

Content and publishing

• Draft a post from an outline. You give the idea, it writes the draft.
• Write the full post from a topic. "Write a post announcing our new service."
• Edit a headline. "Make this sound less salesy, more useful."
• Repurpose one post into three. Blog post → email → social thread.
• Schedule the publishing. It queues content to go out at the right times.
• Fix formatting and links. Typos, broken links, image alt text — cleaned up.
• Fresh meta titles and descriptions. So your pages actually get clicked in search.

Your store and orders (WooCommerce)

• "How many orders today?" A live number, not a login to a dashboard.
• "Mark order #103 shipped." Done in a message.
• Add a product. "Add this item with these specs and this price."
• Update stock. When a supplier changes quantities.
• Adjust a price. A sale across the store, or one item.
• Flag low stock. "What am I about to run out of?"
• Draft the promo banner for your next sale.

Looking good and staying fast

• "Why is my site slow today?" It checks and surfaces the culprit.
• Broken image on the homepage. "Fix it." It finds and fixes it.
• Update the hero headline. No developer needed.
• Add a page. "Create an About page from these notes."
• Standard maintenance. Core and plugin upkeep, on a schedule.
• Test a recent change didn't break anything.

The admin you keep deferring

• A monthly status report. "What happened on the site this month?"
• Best-performing content. "What got the most visits this month?"
• Audience / source breakdown. Where traffic actually comes from.
• Clean up drafts you'll never publish.
• Reorganize categories and tags.
• A health-score review. One plain-English "here's the state of your site."

Winning back your clients (if you run sites for others)

• Manage every client site from one chat. Switch between them, not between logins.
• Draft the client update. "Summarize what I did this week across all sites."
• Flag anything that needs your eyes across every site at once.
• Prepare a handoff note when a client asks "what exactly am I paying for?"
